LOKI Season 2 from Marvel Studios is said to have a substantial budget of $141.3 million.

The second season of Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, reportedly cost Marvel Studios $141.3 million, according to Forbes. Fans of the Marvel are immediately compared this information to the stated budget of Secret Invasion, which cost $211.6 million to make.

To further put these figures into perspective, the production budgets of the last four MCU movies, GotG Vol. 3 ($250M), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ($200M), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($200-$250M), and Thor: Love and Thunder ($250M), were all $200 million or more.

In Loki season 2, Hiddleston’s God of Mischief will partner up with Owen Wilson’s Mobius and Ke Huy Quan’s O.B. to deal with the aftermath from the first season’s finale, which saw the timeline split into a multiverse.

Recently, the first trailer for the series premiered, quickly becoming the most-watched teaser for a Disney+ show in just 24 hours.

Following the underwhelming critical and public reception to Secret Invasion and numerous previous MCU cinematic outings, MCU fans appear to be in desperate need of a return to higher quality
content.

Additionally, Disney CEO Bob Iger recently stated that spending on Marvel content needed to be reduced.

“In our zeal to basically grow our content significantly and serve our streaming offerings, we ended up taxing our people, in terms of their time and their focus, way beyond where they had been,” said Iger.

“Marvel is a great example of that. They had not been in the TV business at any significant level. Not only did they increase their movie output, but they ended up making a number of television series [which] diluted focus and attention.”
