On the PS5, it was anticipated that Starfield and Indiana Jones will sell 10 million copies.

When you think there can’t be enough leaks from the FTC v Microsoft court documents, well it was only getting warmed up.
Microsoft predicted that Starfield and Indiana Jones would sell more than 10 million copies on the PS5, according to a court document that has recently come to light.

This information comes directly from Tim Stuart, the Chief Financial Officer of Xbox, who testified that before the planned PS5 games Indiana Jones and Starfield were made exclusive to Xbox, they were expected to sell more than 10 million copies.

Xbox believed that by selling more Game Pass memberships and more consoles, it could make up for the sales that the PS5 versions had lost. The FTC previously lost this case against Microsoft, but the information flow doesn’t appear to be slowing down just yet.

Starfield, which is scheduled to release on September 6 later this year, was first revealed as an Xbox exclusive back in 2021. However, it wasn’t until the FTC v. Microsoft court proceedings that it was revealed that Indiana Jones was now an Xbox exclusive and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
