AMC Sets September as the Start Date for “Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”

The air date for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” on AMC and AMC+ has been announced.

The spinoff series starring Norman Reedus will make its official premiere on the linear network and its streaming rival on September 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

According to the show’s official synopsis, Daryl (Reedus) struggles to understand how and why he ended up in France after washing ashore. The show follows his quest to return home as he travels through a battered but resilient France. However, as he travels, the relationships he builds along the road confound his ultimate plan.

Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi also appear in the series in addition to Reedus. Executive producing are “The Walking Dead” chief content officer Scott M. Gimple, series creator David Zabel, Reedus, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, and Daniel Percival.

The second “The Walking Dead” spinoff will debut with “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” when it debuts. With Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing Negan, AMC recently launched “The Walking Dead: Dead City” on June 18.

The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne, another spinoff from AMC, is now in production. In that series, Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln will play the primary roles. The “Rick & Michonne” limited series has taken the place of the “Walking Dead” films in which Lincoln was initially slated to play Rick Grimes. Although there is no set date for the premiere of the show, it is expected to happen in 2024.
