There seems to be a fresh Nintendo Switch 2 rumor every month. This time, it comes from a court records from the recently concluded case involving Microsoft and the FTC.
The business mentions the Switch 2 in a section explaining why Microsoft doesn’t track Nintendo’s sales performance in comparison to PlayStation.
Nintendo is likely to ship the Switch’s successor as early as next year, whereas PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S are at different stages of the system life cycle, according to the court document.
According to Microsoft, the next Nintendo Switch will arrive as early as next year, which is consistent with previous claims that businesses like Ubisoft are discussing the platform. Nevertheless, Nintendo president Doug Bowser has publicly stated that the company believes the Switch has a “few years” left.
“As Mr. Furukawa (Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa) comment recently, we’re entering uncharted territory with the platform,” Bowser also said back in March. “It’s exciting to see that demand is still there. So nothing to announce on any future console or device, but we are still feeling very bullish about Nintendo Switch.”
